Infobox location for pages in Category:Locations. type links to the mother category Locations. The subcategory comes from region. A transit hub should also set category2 = Transit infrastructure.

Parameters: name, image, caption, alt, type, age, also known as, region, distance, orbital location, inhabited by, population, category2, nocat.

distance is the spatial sort key (Sun-outward). It is not shown to readers: it only orders the page inside Category:Locations and its region category. Integer AU, no decimals; the template zero-pads it to six digits (90 → 000090). Without distance, the page sorts alphabetically.
