Infobox historical event for pages in Category:History. type links to the subcategory AGE n events and processes from age. A program that is also an institution should set category2 = Societies (or the specific subcategory).
Parameters: name, image, caption, alt, type, age, date, societies involved, locations involved, causes, consequences, category2, nocat.
date is the chronological sort key. It is not shown to readers: it only orders the page inside Category:History and its AGE events category. Required format YYYY-MM-DD (four-digit year, two-digit month and day: 2340-05-01). YYYY or YYYY-MM are allowed when only the year or month is known; those pages sort before more precise dates in the same period. Without date, the page sorts alphabetically after dated ones.
